Barataria Pirate & Fairie Faire

The faeries have worked their magic, and Barataria has faded from the square in Springfield, MO for another year. But our memories of dancing gypsies, the pirate court, birds of prey, swashbuckling fun, and the many honored guests from the faerie realm still remain, and mighty joyous they are!

Click the image above to be taken to the photos of the beautiful paintings created during this fabulous weekend event. To view pictures of the whole event, visit Barataria Faire's Facebook page.

See you next year!

Artsfest 2008

What a beautiful weekend for a festival! The wind and temperature were just right, and the sun shone it's smiling face down upon us all, causing the first sunburns of spring, but none were less joyous for our redness. As usual, we came prepared, and the SPF 50 spray we brought for ourselves and our customers came in really handy throughout the weekend's festivities.

The photos are now available! There were so many excited participants last weekend, that it has taken me longer than expected to get all of the photos ready.

Thank you to everyone who braved the weather to participate in the festivities this year. This was the best parade ever, and with all the great people working on the parade all year long, it's only going to be better next time. I hope to see you there!

What a beautifully appropriate day it was on Saturday, with perfect Irish weather in match with Dublin, all but for the rain we endured.

Winter Special

From now until March, every painting party scheduled will get an automatic

$20 OFF!

That means that you can get a professional entertainer for two hours, with unlimited painting on up to 15 revelers for the low cost of only $40*.

Now I'm not going to lie to you, winter is our slow season. For some odd reason, parents think winter birthdays can't be as fun as those in the summer, or that they need to shell out hundreds of dollars to have the event take place in some special indoor party place. Neither are true, and it is my goal to show up wherever you want us, even in your home, to make your event one to remember for years to come.

We now also offer Dance Dance Revolution game rental for your event for the special price of only $20 with painting party purchase for the duration of this offer**.

This winter, when you are all cooped up inside, chase the blues away. Do you really need a special occasion to have fun with friends?

This is our best deal ever, and it's only available for a limited time, so schedule your event today!

* Additional people are $2 per person, and after the first two hours, continued painting is $30 per hour.
** 13" TV can be provided, but you are welcome to use your own video equipment/television instead. DDR rental without party purchase is $40 and includes delivery, free setup, and pick up after the party is over.
